hey everybody. i have a '95 ranger 2wd with a 3.0. my question do the coil from the 93-97 4wd rangers direct swap into a 2wd and if so would it give me any lift in the front.

4wd springs don't lift the truck.

Spring buckets don't lift the truck.

What lifts the truck is the different shape of the beams.

HOWEVER, springs from vehicles with heavier engines
and more optional equipment will raise the truck some...

But only NEW explorer springs will lift a 2wd ranger 1.5-2"
and most of that is compensating for "sag"

New springs proper for your truck would also lift it some... for a while....

i used explorer springs i believe from a 93-94 in my 83 ranger and it raised it about 1.5" and leveled it out, plus it only took me about 2 hours to do with no prior experience, really easy.

I talked to a guy at James Duff about the dual shock set up they have. They dont make it for a 2wd but he said you could still use it but it would lift the front up one inch. Another person there said it wouldnt work at all though so who knows.
