4W and 4W low lights on

Today I shifted my 02 Ranger FX2 LII (manual T-Case) into 4W low and when I shifted back to 2W the lights on the the dash are still showing both 4W and 4W low. I suspect a range or position switch is sticking or broken. Where is it located and how easy is it to pull out to insp/replace and or clean the contacts? I have had the truck since new.
