Looking to see if the Valve bodies and solenoids attached are the same throughout the 4R44E transmission production lifetime.

I have the hard 1-2 shift in my 1998 2.5L 4R44E and want to swap valve bodies from a 1996 3.0L 4R44E I have sitting around for parts.

thank you for any help.

Your 96 will have different EPC and TCC solenoids. 95 and 96 are all by themselves. Other than that, yes the same.

Thank you for the information. Im hoping the hard shift is just the separator plate and swapping the valve body will cure it. Been riding around like that for 25,000mi but this past winter I noticed anything below 40 degrees on a cold start and drive overdrive wouldnt engage until warmed up and the hard 1-2 shift was much harder than usual.
