Just curious how the rest of your transmissions are holding up, in particular the 4R44E? I have a 96 2.3 that I've been daily driving, mostly hwy commute 50mi a day. Truck has 190k mi on the original drivetrain (to my knowledge). I've serviced the filter on it and added a Dorman pan w/ the drain plug shortly after I purchased the truck at 187k mi. Shortly after I did a 2nd drain and refill with Maxlife ATF. Fluid has remained nice and red and it seems to shift ok to me. I've been trying to pamper it due to the mileage and unknown service history. I've also been knocking down 23-24mpg which seems to be about right for this truck. It's a std cab long bed btw.
