4cyl T5 to V8??

What has to be done to make my 4 cyl T5 work on a 5.0L?? It was sitting on my turbo motor that I resently pulled out to make room for some real power

Needs a V8 bellhousing and a specific pilot bushing.

Yep. I have put the 4cyl T5's on V8's many of times. I used to do alot of T5 rebuilds and have many guys buy them and use them on there 5.0's. I have installed a few and even have ran a couple of them in some of the cars I have had. The turbo T5 is by far the best 4cyl T5 to use when it comes to 4cyl T5's. The only problem with them is you can not find a new front bearing support for them any more unless some aftermarket company just started making them again. The 4cyl T5 will last a very long time if you are using it for a daily driver but its life will decrease very quickly if you are beating on it from day to day and if you are beating the shit out of it every day dont exspect a very long life with it as it will die very quickly. The pilot bearing is smaller in the 4cyl so the input shafts tip is smaller requiring a special bearing just like Teddy stated. Its been a while since I have got one of them special pilot bearings so I dont remember where I got them from but it was online. Good luck.

The pilot bearing you will need is diesel ranger and i remember mid 80's i believe.
