4-wheel not working

I have Replace my 4x4 button and checked the t-case motor but my 4-wheel drive still isnt working. The Orange lites on the button dont lite up and when i push the buttons nothing happens, no noise nothing. I am open to knowledgable suggestions.

Check the fuse boxes under the dash and under the hood. I think the fuse in under the dash and the relay is under the hood.


Somewhere in your explorer, possibly under the drivers seat, there is the controller that actually links the buttons to the motor. That very well may have gone bad. If your not hearing noise though, there is a good chance it is a fuse or relay.

I would like to give you a knowledgeable suggestion but that would have to be as suggested to check the fuses and relays and see where you have power because that idea is so obvious that it is not very knowledgeable as I am sure you already tested fuses relays and power at the shift motor as you must be knowledgeable yourself or else why and how would you even know what was knowledgeable ............sorry I couldn't help

I got the same problem. Not a fuse or relay. Still tryna figure it out.

your shift control module is bad. lf you look on the rear panel inside jack cubbie hole, you will see a box with 2 or 3 plugs going into it. there is a little white button with a red LED light there. push the button down. if the LED dose not light up, the module is bad

Damm I have the same prob. only 1995 ranger short bed singlecab 3 lt auto
