4 wheel drive switch

i am puting a 2 wheel drive body on my 4wheel frame. the 2wd cab doesnt appear to have the connections for the 4wd switch. has anyone ever just ran new wires with original switch. shouldnt be hard . is it 12 volt at the motor

I think you may be both under and over thinking this.

Lets start with some more information. What years are we working with here? Is your original dash intact and useable?

the 2wd is 92 the 4wd is 97 mazda that has been rolled.the dash in the 97 is still good. i am in the process of removing now but it is getting complicated and thought it might be easier to put 4wd switch in 92 dash and run new wires.you would think the 2wd cab would have the wires there somewhere but i cant find them
