ok when i run the truck in 4-wheel...it has the auto-lock hubs....it knocks like hell?...almost like the it is skipping teeth or something???..
You guys have any ideas what i should check first?...i just got this truck

i had something like that an it turned out to be the u joints in the front axles where totally shot. just an idea.

Does the knock come from one side of the vehicle or other? Does it come from both? From a wheel or from driveline or axle?

Help if you can be a little more specific on where you think the knock is coming from.
Check the universal joints on the driveline to the front end?
Check oil level in diff?

The auto hub is probablly locking and unlocking on its own. U need new ones or manual hubs most likely

IMO auto hubs arent even worth the ease of use when they actually do work, my first mod to every 4x4 is manual hubs. no matter how good the autos are working.

ok what manual hubs should i get and how much do you think they are?...my buddy is a mechanic and he says the same thing...it is probably the auto hubs...they slip!. If you can let me know that would be great!
