4 wheel drive clunk

while im in 4 wheel drive and my rear wheel tires spin out i hear a clunk in my rear end could that just be limited slip cause i dont know if it even has limited slip and if it does have limited slip why is it so loud and clanky sounding

maybe your limited slip is going out of your rear end if you dont have one maybe thats where it went maybe you just hit something is the neighbors dog missing you never know when they put in a new curb
