Hey guys.....I have a 92 4x4 Ranger:headbang: and am looking to buy either a 4" or a 6" lift......if anyone with either of these lifts could post up pics...thats would be cool....if its the same generation as mine...thats a plus.....just want to see how one sits versus the other:dunno:.....Thanks:icon_thumby:

what are your goals for the truck? DD? trail rig? tire size your wanting to run?

all that is more important then just the way it sits

DD, 6" is to tall. Offroad, 6" could be OK. We need to know tires, use, engine, axles etc.

I am running a 4.0 right now. And If I go 6" ill run 33's. If I go 4" ill keep the 31's. and its going to be a DD but offroad on the weekends.

I have a 5" lift (was a 4") and have 31s with 3.73's and love it because i drive 300mi a week to and from work/school. I average 16.1-16.8 MPG. Not to bad, considering my truck weighs 500lbs more than stock and sits alot higher.

With 6" and 33's, I dont know if that is achievable. Maybe.

My point is if you drive alot still and its not your dedicated trail rig think about the costs of fuel etc ect.

I have a 6" lift and 35's on my truck. Had to trim the fenders a little bit but otherwise no rubbing.

i got a 4'' on the old 85 but it was already on the truck when i bought it for 800$ so i've just used that as its a budget build but if i were the person who bought the lift i would have gotten the 6'' hands down. i know way too many people who got a 4'' and 3 weeks later were kicking themselves for not getting the 6''.

in this picture it was a 4'' lift and some fender trimming on the front to clear the 33's. now its got a 2'' body and soon to get some 2'' spacers under the coils and a new leaf pack.-- only has minor rubbing at full flex. or as the rednecks say-- go big or go home.lol
