So did the search and did the reading. But I still have questions.

1 - Beyond the kit what else do I need?

2 - It seems like people like them for lite off roading. Agree?

3 - Where is the best place to buy the kit?

Honestly I will be doing it mostly for looks as it is my winter DD.

Thanks for your time. RS

The first you need is a towel, screw driver and shovel.

Most only lift the right side and they lower the left so that you feel like you are always turning.

The best place to get the kit is at a Ford dearership. You will need to bring a lawyer to sign the release forms which does add a bit to the cost.

Never lift a truck for only for looks. Trucks are only to be used like a tool so if it white then leave it white! Lastly trucks should never be driven in the winter or in tempertures below 43 degrees. It is the manual! Read it!

Ok now maybe someone can give me their wisdom:-)

Longer brake lines, some people have said that you don't need them, I'd get them just in case. Bigger tires obviously, as well as the gearing to turn them. Limited slip would be nice if you plan to do some off-roading. Sway bar drop brackets if you are planning to keep the sway bar. Maybe different shocks, I heard the shocks that come with the kit are stiff. IF you truck is a supercab, keep an eye on the rear driveshaft carrier bearing, that tends to make the driveshaft vibrate on lifted trucks.

Should be fine, just don't go jumping sand dunes or flying off hills.

3 - Where is the best place to buy the kit?

Anywhere they sell it. The kit sells for the same price everywhere.

Honestly I will be doing it mostly for looks as it is my winter DD.

There's nothing wrong with lifting for looks. Although some people may disagree with me, I stand by my word. If you got anymore questions, just ask. That's what we are here for.
