I have a 1994 Ranger XLT 4 Ltr auto. Always been a good truck but lately has been giving me some problems. Starts up fine but after driving a bit, maybe 5 min or so, it will stall or surge at a stop sign. Sometimes it even seems like it has a miss at this time. I have to drive with 2 feet to keep it from dying out. It starts back up most times, but sometimes will stall right away. I have replaced the tps and iac motor. There are no leaks in the intake or any vaccuum lines. New battery and alternator is charging withing specs. Fuel pump is fairly new(6 months) filter wasn't changed. It sat for about 2 months before I used it again. First time this has happened...HELP!!!

You always replace the filter when the fuel pump fails.

Fuel pump didn't fail. Person before me had wrong fuel pump assembly in tank. Gauge wasn't reading.
