so i have horrible axle wrap on my 86 B2 with 302 and the c-6 and a ford 9 rear. i changed the leaf springs yesterday it helped alot but still not enough. so I know a guy who would sell me a nice set of ladder bars for a ful size for $50. im thinking about either buying them and cutting them down to fit, or buying them and cutting them apart and using the pecies to do the 4-link set up in the tech lib. I would leave the leafs i just put in and my shocks just do the dual triangle thing. any suggestions? thanks guys

just buy them, i know is not on the same topic but a friend of mine has a 1992 dodge cummins 5sp with 6" lift and 35's and he had axle wrap really bad and he got a set of ladder bars for his truck and he can now drop the cluch with out any promblems. tthey help alot.

Just buy some ladder bars.

The way leaves flex, a "4 link with leaves" would never work.

Your pinion/driveshaft angle can contribute to axle wrap. Look into that.

Really long leaf springs can contribute to axle wrap. Look into that.

Lotsa blocks will contribute to axle wrap. Look into that.

Loose U bolts will contribute to axle wrap. Look into that.

You'd only 4 link it if you completely get rid of the leaves for another method like coils or bags or what ever.

The ladder bars will allow you to keep your leaves, and control the axle wrap.

I've also seen axle perches that are supposed to help with wrap.

build a anti wrap bar like below. It will allow the suspension flex while getting rid of the axle wrap. The second picture I would not follow the threaded top mount I would make it fixed with a flex joint. make sure the axle mounts are rubber or poly though, as solid mounts will bind and either break the mount or the bar its self.
