yup.i use that for panhard bars and such all the time,it's pretty strong.if you use chevy leaf spring bushings the o/d is 1 1/2,so some 2" .250 wall dom makes good bushing sleeves.energy suspension's p/n is 3.2106g.

i wouldn't think you could even do a triangulated 4 link on a TTB - the engine and crossmember would be in the way of the upper links.

Gwaii's setup looks like the best possible setup for a TTB.

a triangulated 4 link would serve no purpose in a ttb...the triangulation is for lateral positioning,in the ttb this is done by the arm mounts,so i don't even know where the idea for this came from.

exactly. the only thing a TTB lacks from a 4 link is caster control. You've accomplished that with yours so there's nothing else a 4 link has to offer. If it was even possible.

the only other thing would be camber control,but i've found this to be of lesser importance.a large camber change will have less effect than a small caster change,especially if that caster goes into the negative..

camber will always be a problem with ttb, go ahead and bend an axle in half and try to keep the wheels from cambering, you can't.......i think copykat's banned profile just rolled over in its grave

my point is that you don't need to keep the wheels from cambering....it's not that important.as long as the caster(and the toe,which is a whole other discussion)is good,control on landing will be good.of course,if TOO much droop is allowed,camber will become excessive and then be a problem.this is why i made the links to limit droop.

i would stay away from heims-i don't know how it is in your region,but here heims are illegal on street vehicles,if the cops see them they'll pull the truck off the road.urethane bushings give a better ride,and last longer so i'd be inclined to use them.

If these joint and rod ends meet the above installation criteria the vehicle shall not be rejected for having heim jounts or rod ends installed.

Please note that the same joint or rode ends that has been modified, welded upon, not having locking nuts or similar devices and improperly installed, IE with a bolt through a tapered hole shall be REJECTED.

this is keeping with the industry norms for aftermarket suspenison and steering components manufactured by recognized manufacturers.

Curious... is that published some place? I was always under the impression that use of heims etc. was frowned upon.

this was my impression too,though i don't doubt your information.what is the source?i'd like to have a copy to keep on hand....sometimes the cops need to see something in writing to be convinced.

Its off of the BC 4x4 site, they have an ask the cops section where they have members who are 4x4 enthusiasts who can answer your questions. They had a letter from ICBC that that is quoted from. There is no where in the motor vehicle act that doesn't allow them, period. It's been like that since mid 2000.

Pretty much there are perfectly legal to use in the way they were intended to be used and cannot be modified or welded in any which way.

Yes, unfortunately it does sometimes seem that way. Legally, anything with over 10cm of suspension height over stock needs to be inspected....seems to be hit or miss with cops around here tho...I've never been bothered with my truck around here, but it doesn't look like a cobbled together POS either...
