4 link SAS+lift

All that's left is fender trimming and the solenoid for the front locker.

i mean... it's alright i guess...

lol, j/k man. looks great!
I wanna see someone get that flex easily out of a leaf setup... without a lot of trail and error!

Very nice. Love your truck.

It was way better stock. How could you destroy something so pure? :)

I still have an inch from the bump stops in the front. Need to trim the fenders to take advantage of it.

Why? With tires that big leafs are a waste, they get wrecked fast, might as well link it and be done

The rear leafs on mine are still good. It really depends on the leafs 52s are the worst about that.

I have been running mine since late November on leaves....have a minimum of 12 wheeling trips on them and no issues/sagging so far with the 39.5's....and I think they are pretty flexy:icon_thumby:

as you can see, this was with the "1st cut" of the fenders....I have since cut them again since they made contact....then used my pliers to "roll" the lip...

yeah, not many get leafs right to flex decent.. not on first or second tries atleast. most people i talk to that are running leaves with good flex played trail and error a lot... (or they are toyota rigs)

It was a lot easier to move to coils and a 3 link and get it to flex good than playing with leafs. There is nothing wrong with them, but they do get torn up pretty bad by 1 tons.

When I was researching for my SAS I heard about enough people with leaf problems with 1 tons and big tires to not want to waste time on it

Some photo's from one of the other guys I was wheeling with.

Got a legality question. With my truck loaded down for trails the truck weighs in at 5400-5500lbs empty without the spare and 1/4 tank I am around 5100lbs...GVWR is 5380lbs. How bad mojo is it to drive down the freeway?

it's not....remember that the GVWR is based on the stock axles/brakes....with your upgraded axles/brakes you can more safely go with the higher weight...

plus, I have never seen a pickup pulled over unless the darn thing was sagged to the ground with some ungodly load in the back...
