will a 4.9 L inline 6 engine fit in my 1990 ranger? and what kind of mods would u suggest for the gearing? i can get the wiring harness and computer with the engine, and it comes with a 5 speed manual tranny

The straight six is a great motor, problem is that in a rbv the rear two cylinders need to be on the cab side of the firewall.

Theres a post page 4 of other engine swaps "Z3CHYD" of a ranger seen it yesterday he mounted rad on outside of rad support he did a really nice job on it lectric fan "I THINK" thats the rout im goin

I i did the same thing but onto a full size chevy frame.

what i am trying to say is that anything can be done with any amount of cutting and welding.
