I have 3.73s in my ranger right now with the 2.9 and 235's. I have a parts bronco with 4.10 gears. is it worth it to swap to them for now? Later on, a year or so from now, I will probably swap to a 8.8 but til then I wanna run 31's...

if i want more aceleration from your truck i would say yes, do it.

the 4.10s will help with making the 2.9 work less on turning the 31s. so i would recommend it

go for 4.10s. pull the front axles, (the one side half the axle stays in) remove the front drive shaft, and unbolt the diff from the axle beam.

Care to elaborate? Never done it... pull the whole beam or just the diff?
