there are a million and a half threads regarding a 4.0L swap and rebuilds and i'm here I am making another one. I have an 89 ranger/fm146/1350 manual case truck with crank windows and no power locks or power options. the fm146 and 1350 won't be in their for very long, but i'm going to use it till I can get an m50d/1354 while i'm doing the swap or after its all done. so far the parts collected are:

the cannon plug wiring section from a 91/92 ranger stx with crank windows-non power door locks-power seats and a manual1354/m50d

a gauge cluster from a 92/93 mazda navajo w/m50d

the computer wiring harness from a 92 explorer eddie bauer with all power options and a a4ld/eletric1354

a computer from a 92 explorer sport with all power options and an electric 1354/m50d

a tilt column from the same 92 sport the computer came out of(I will not be attempt to keep the cruise control).

I want to know if all parts collected so far will make it "plug and play". I am deathy afraid of complicated wiring jobs and I want to make this as painless as possible. the engine is out of the 92 explorer eddie bauer that the computer harness is from and it needs a head gasket/possible rebuild. I want it to be a mild buildup with a High Energy 256HR comp cam, underdrive pulleys, ported intake, DUI screamin demon coil, headers and a 2.5" exhaust. will I need a chip or to have the computer reflashed with that cam? where are there good complete rebuild kits for sale at? will this clusterfugg of parts all come together and work or do I need to get/change somthing else? the stx ranger will be in the local yard for another 2 months max so if I need anything else off it say something quick! or should I just say fugg it all and 5.0L it? I really want this 4.0L junk to work, seems like it will be plenty of motor for what I have planned for this truck.

There are differences in some of the wiring components.
you have listed.

You really need to get the proper EVTM manuals for all the major donor parts you want to use.

Frankly everyone talks about "plug and play" but for practical purposes unless you get EVERYTHING from the same donor vehicle there is always some degree of pin swapping
and splicing.

what exact thing(s) wouldn't work? I asked cause even if I do get the manuals and wiring diagrams I still wouldn't get it. maybe if I focus in one area that won't work or one area that needs modifying than I MIGHT be able to get it. I am this bad at wiring knowledge. some people are deathly scared of bears, some spiders, me its real extensive wiring. most everyone says its "plug and play", well what is and what isn't? if the gauge cluster and column won't work than i'm not too worried, just let me know what will work. I don't have money to pay an automotive electrician to sort this out so as much help as someone can give me would be appreciated.

edit: no one knows a place that sells an entire engine rebuild kit for a reasonable price?
