4.0l sohc into 1st gen 4.0l ranger.

hey guys I'm about to start the sohc swap in my little ranger and was hoping to make a write up on it. If anyone has any info on this to help, all would be appreciated. it's going into a 89 ranger ex cab 4x4. I've already done a 4.0l swap to it, that was easy, noow going for the extra 40+ hp of the sohc. I'll try to post pics as i go. I've already swapped the transmission to a 08 hd 5spd, ( easy swap straight bolt ) a 96 ex manual shift t case, a 1 piece rear driveshaft, and an 02 ex rear diffy (disc brake locking 8.8). thanks for all advise ahead of time.

i would really like to see pics of this during and when its done as i was considering the exact same swap from an 04 sohc into an 89 ranger as well... let me know how it turns out!

You'd need a PCM to control the engine(or a reflash of your current), complete wiring harness for the sohc, I believe the motor mounts are the same as the OHV 4.0, SOHC MAF would be needed.
