i have an 09 ford ranger 4.0l SOHC and i want more noise right now i have a magnaflow muffler on it but even if i unhook the muffler its still pretty quiet. I was looking under the truck and i don't see a resonator or anything. Is it the cats making it quiet or are these motors just not that loud. I was thinking of getting some high flow cats I know its gonna be a pain because the factory cats are in the down pipes but i have a welder and i can get mandrel bent sections. Does anyone know if high flow cats will set the check engine light.
