1990-2000 4.0l OHV engines are basically the same, only changes were in fuel system which are bolt on engine parts
Used in Explorers and Areostar vans as well, also 1994-2000 Mazda B4000 trucks

As for actually getting one, RonD has pretty good advice. also check local Craigs list, facebook market etc.

And maybe if PetroleumJunkie is done using his as a urinal... you might get a deal (personally would pass on that one lol)

Check my post in parts for sale. I've got a 4.0 from my '95 (92k when I removed it) and it ran perfect, plus other parts.

The last thing to tell a potential seller is "Oh my! That's the very one I wanted! How much is it?"

I'd watch all the places they said and as you locate each one simply proceed as if it's just another one to look at.
