4.0 to 5.0 swap

I have been planning on swapping my newly rebuilt 4.0L for a LOW mileage (55,450miles original) 5.0L fuel injected police car engine( car was totaled). I have been struggling with finding information on this particular swap, my Ranger has the A4LD transmission (I just bought it directly from Planet Ford around 2 yrs ago with 3yr 75,000 warranty only 24,000 on trans and rebuilt eng) the problem is that nobody can seam to tell me if the 5.0 will bolt to this trans, or if there is a conversion kit available for this. I hate to get rid of this trans being it has such low mileage and that it cost me around $2,300. and still under warranty. The reason for the swap is that the 4.0L just has no real power to get the truck motivated. I have BFG 33" x12.50X15" mud terrains and 3.73 gears. The truck runs great except that the 4.0L seems to be having to work to hard to get up to speed or if I was in the need to pass someone I would need extra time to make the pass. I am hoping to find the necessary help or some information here. Thank you.

make it easier on yourself and your engine and get 4.56 or 4.88 gears then you wouldnt have to swap engines.
