4.0 swap

Iv got opportunity to pick up on a whole truck "BEATER" with a 90 4.0 thinking of swapping in place of my 89 2.9 I know harness has to be switched from firewall out & radiator,computer also.My Question is will 2.9 flywheel n clutch work on 4.0 its a auto? Or any thing else I havn't mentioned.THANX!!!

As far as I know, everything you mentioned will swap... But you ships read the tech library there's a sh*tton of info in there about swaps.

The 2.9 flywheel and clutch will work on a 4.0, yes. But, it will not hold up to the 4.0's torque. It will slip and will not last long.

I would get a 4.0 flywheel, clutch and starter.
