So I have an 86 ranger originally equipped with the 2.9. It has been swapped out for a 97 explorer 4.0 before I purchased it. I have searched for engine bay pics and found a ton, but none of what I need. I have read the thread and all I can find is that i might have to change my condenser, but that looks to be fine. I want to finish hooking up my ac.... the problem

The high side looks to be all hooked up however I think the low side is missing all together. Am I just in need of a hose, or is there more to this than I can see. Thanks In Advance for the help, Summer is coming!

What I did on my 1987 Supercab was to use the ENTIRE A/C system from a 1993 Explorer

Huh? The low-side appears to be there too. The thick line going into the top-rear of your compressor looks like a suction tube, which passes underneath your throttle body and attaches to the top of your accumulator (via that spring-lock connector). The evaporator upper tube also goes into the accumulator. So the whole low-side is present & accounted for.

What's that connector behind your compressor for? Maybe it's just the high-pressure cut-off switch & its connection that's missing?

Your hoses just run along a bit different path from my '97. Too bad I no longer have photos from my '87.
