I'm going to be rebuilding my explorers 4.0 soon. It has a cracked head/gasket. My clutch,p/s pump and rad are shot (mud);brownbag; so ill be replacing those as well. I plan on removing the engine and using my parts explorers cylinder heads, pump and porting my upper and lower intakes and buying new clutch, slave cylinder, etc. I was wondering if I could fab some solid mounts for my 4.0. Every time I get into wheel hopping and heavy load issues my shifter stick is shaking back and forth terribly and I was wondering if this would help my truck to pull and run better offroad? Also any suggestions on my rebuild would be welcomed. thnx.
