i just did a 2002 4.0 SOHC swap in my 99 ranger i am having troubles with the Pats key system any suggestions?

Did you nab the PATS transponder and reciever from the donor truck? As well as the key and lock cyl? If not, time to tow it to Ford to flash the PCM to match your keys with the new engines PCM. Should run about an hour labor charge($80 or so).
OR...totally eliminate the PATS system by using an aftermarket tuner with a tune from Fred @ Rogue Performance. He told me he could eliminate the PATS system all together.
