Well my 88 ranger has been above stock heat, so I've been looking for a Berger radiator my question was, is it worth it to get a radiator from a 4.0 a/t explorer and put it in my manual truck or just put a stock one in ? I need help fast

Unless things have changed over the years, the larger radiator is approximately the same price and the only issue is getting the correct radiator hoses. Definitely the way to go if you need a new one.

unless I'm mistaken a 4.0L radiator is a direct replacement on a 2.9... I'm running the big one on my 2.3L and it was almost a bolt in other than changing the hoses

Go with the 4.0L radiator. It's not as hard as you think.

Junkyard radiators (if in good condition) is the cheapest route, but I wouldn't trust it. Just pick on up from your local auto store.

Look for a radiator from 1990 to 2000, Ranger or Explorer.
