I have a 1992 ranger that is missing pretty bad when it is under load... anything above like 2500 RPM it starts missing really bad. The check engine light comes on after about 10 to 15 minutes of driving. What could be the reason for it?

I would the check the plugs/wires etc first

check the fuel pressure on the rail, mine does this too last time it was a vac leak on the fuel pressure regulator this time 4 months later it just started again, im guessing the fpr is out, check it out, easy to do.
