okevery body....i got a 95 exploder and i wanna swap motors from my 1995 300 thousand plus mile 3.0 to a 4.0 from the exploer and info before i start would be really helpfull....motor mounts, wiring, any info would be great....also gonna use the rear end since its a 8.8:headbang:

motor mounts, wiring, computer, and transmission and if you plan on using a manual trans behind it the computer will run it but you will have a check engine light and it may not run correctly

The 1995 Motormounts won't work on a Ranger frame earlier than 1998.

You'll need Engine side motor mount brackets off of a 1990-94 Ranger/Explorer.

The rubber mounts themselves from your 3.0 Ranger SHOULD work.

The Explorer Y-pipe MAY work, the catalytic converter should be the same
(if you can get it take it, it's really nice to have a spare...)

as for wiring the explorer wiring can be made to work but it won't be nearly as easy as locating a 1995 Ranger 4.0 harness.

cant i just use the explorer computer....and im gettn the entire truck for free so ill have everything i need, hopefully....keep the info coming....thanks

The issue with the explorer harness is all the extra "Stuff" that
provides confusing camoflage for the smaller ammount of stuff
you actually need... that and the differences in component location
between Rangers and Explorers.

When doing engine swaps the issue is not what needs to be done
to accomplish the job it's knowing what complications to avoid.
