4.0 help!

An intake gasket leak on a 4.0 will not put antifreeze in the cylinders. I t would have to fill the crankcase first.
Mine had a tiny, external intake gasket leak. It probably caused enough coolant loss to eventually cause a cracked head.
The head gaskets had no leaks at all.
The crack in the combustion chamber is tiny, I don't know why I didn't get combustion in the coolant. I apparently didn't run the test long enough.

There are two points through the lower intake gasket where coolant can go directly into an intake port. But I agree that it's unlikely to do so without also fouling the crankcase. Certainly not from loose bolts.

HOWEVER, intake runners are (supposed to be) under vacuum, and the crankcase is vented to the atmosphere. So a little surface tension can in principle suck most of the coolant into the cylinder if both are breached. But that's a bit of a stretch.
