4.0 header bolts?

well. my egr valve broke (the hat broke off the base and causing the engine to misfire). and since the fittings on both the exh manifold and egr valve are rusted to all hell i have to replace the header egr tube and egr valve. im just concerned about the manifold bolts breaking, has anyone had any issues with 4.0 manifold bolts? which is the best method for removal, i plan on removing the inner fender and soaking them with pb and heating them and soaking them some more. if you can give me any advice id really appreciate it, also does anyone know were i can find the fitting that screws into the header that the egr tube bolts to, and were i can find a egr tube also. the truck is a 1995 ford ranger 4.0 5spd 4wd truck, thanks

i put headers on my truck and had no problem getting them out. just be patient and use a good penetrating oil first. the hardest part is getting to the bolts with everything in the way. i found it easiest to go through the underside of the fenderwell and remove the tires. i have a 1995 and i live in michigan and i didnt break any so good luck

i just put headers on my 91 4.0. Didn't break a bolt. Lots of soak time with Liquid Wrench and one thing my dad tought me, if you get the bolt turning no problem but then tightens up...Retighten the bolt about 3 to 5 turns, and try again. Its the rust thats packing up inside the threads that causing it to stop
