Just plucked out a 4.0 manual non abs or ac or cruise control harness out of a 91 sploder. My question is where do I start of makeing this harness in my b2?

Also can I make this harness simple so it would start and run on the floor?

The problem you may run into with using a exploder harness is the main engine power connection to the engine bay harness from the engine harness. Make sure that both connectors are the same on both sides. I had a situation where i pulled a 4.0 harness from an exploder and it had a circular plug where as my engine harness had a square plug. Long story short, i had to remove another entire engine bay harness from a ranger that had a square plug instead. Start there.

Also checkout my article here that will help with the wiring:

There are quite a few thing to be hooked up for it to "run on the floor". This isn't an old carbureted engine. You need o2 sensor(s) and a high pressure fuel system at least. And you definitely wouldn't want it running long without a proper cooling system. I wouldn't want it to run at all.

Yeah, running an engine on the floor isn't what it used to be. I wouldn't want it running on my floor at all. It might damage the floor. Or the engine.

There are a few options for wiring the 4.0 harness into the dash. My favorite so far is making the newer dash harness work on the old dash.
