Hi, I am new to the forums but have visited the site before.

I am contemplating a new exhaust system for my ranger. It is a 2001 4.0 V6 Edge.

I like a deep throaty sound. kinda like a harley. Which exhaust should i get?
I have a K&N air filter, will this have an effect on the sound?

Thanks

No, the filter wont change the exhaust. Try a flowmaster 40 seriese. You wont get a realy deep harly sound with a V6, maybe at idle.

SLP loudmouth exhaust!! i had a loudmouth muffler on my 94 explorer and iwas told on several occations that it was the best sounding exlporer they had ever heard!

series 40 or equivalent but stick with a single pipe and use a resonator tip, that will get you close to what you are looking for (at Idle). if you use duals and cherrybombs it will sound like an angry bumble bee.

lmc truck has a bolt up dual exhaust, with resinator tips, looks sweet, complete with y pipe for like $200-270
