I have a 96 Ranger 4x4 with 4.0L, cranks but does not start. I have good pressure at the rail, good spark (New plugs and ignition coil). Sprayed started fluid into the intake and it started and ran for about 10 minutes and stalled, then did not restart. I also replaced my fuel pump and flter last fall so no concerns there. Looking for direction to trouble shoot further.

Welcome to TRS :)

So it starts with 50/50 test, but stalls when it runs out of manually added fuel
In 1995 and up, that means computer is starting spark but not injectors(assuming fuel pressure of 30psi)

When you turn on the key the CEL(check engine light) should come on
When you start to crank the engine the CEL should go OFF, that means computer is "seeing" a good timing pulse, which should be happening if you have spark timing

Unplug the TPS(throttle position sensor), it has a 3 wire connector
Then try starting
If it starts then TPS is shorted out, telling computer to shut off injectors, to "Clear a Flooded Engine"

If still a no start, then assuming good fuel pressure, its most likely a computer issue

You can check CAM sensor, unplug its 3 wire connector and try to start, but I think only the 3.0l engine needed working cam sensor to start, and only a few years had that

What brand fuel pup did you install? If non-motorcraft, it could still be a problem. Aftermarket pumps have a reputation of bot lasting long.

Does this go for my 91 ranger as well? Have the same problem but after use the starting fluid it runs but with a check engine light

A little different for 1991 and the older computer, 1994 and older use the OBD1 EEC-IV computer, 1995 and up use the OBD2 EEC-V computer

Check what Codes are being set, that's why CEL is on

Most likely issue is capacitors in computer have failed, there are 3, not hard to replace, under $5 in parts

Appreciate it, there’s a leak on that side of the truck so I was thinking it could be water damage to the computer

And there's that too..............lol
