so my friend just bought a 97 ranger thats a standard cab short box 2wd.

i let him put my chevy drop shackles in the back to fix his old rotted off ones and now it looks funny with such a big rake to it.

so will the coils from my truck (4.0 ex cab 4x4) give him an inch or two of lift for the front of his truck(2.3 std cab 2wd)?

doubtful as i believe they are just stiffer to support the weight of the 4.0 and the ext cab, but its worth a try. if you dont get the results your looking for check out the washer lift using the search function, its been covered many times and provides good results - im running some myself.

Yea I know about the washer lift but I figured id try my springs first then if they didn't work then I'd go buy the longer bolts for the arms for the washers.

ive still got the stack i ran on my old 4inch coils before i got the skyjackers.

The 4.0 coils might work for only a little while. They will settle probably almost all the way down back to stock. The washer lift is your best bet.
