4.0 A4LD to a 3.0 Engine?

I have a 1994 3.0 4x4 Ranger with a A4LD in need of a rebuild, I use my truck for everything from daily driving to blasting through mud and fields and woods. I read that the 4.0 A4LD has some stronger internal components. Could I pick up a 94 or 95 4.0 A4LD trans and use my bellhousing and use it no problems? Are there any computer differences? Either Im going to do a full rebuild on my trans or find a rebuilt or good running 4.0 A4LD Or may even rebuild a 4.0 trans depending on what I find. I have spent the last few hours scanning threads and just haven't seen anything on this.

Nevermind........ I guess the bellhousing is removable. I'll shut up =)
