4.0 98 transmission 5speed

i need to know if i can replace my 5 speed transmission on my Ford Ranger 98 4.0L 4WD by a 5 speed transmission from a Ford Ranger 95 3.0L 4WD. if i can't i need to replace syncro on the third gear. thank you for help

Nope... different bolt pattern. Gear ratios are different too.

okay and i can use the internal part or not ? i need a 5speed transmission only from a 4.0 ?

You may be able to use some of the internal parts. A friend of mine is going to build his 4.0L trans with 2.5L parts, to get lower 1st gear ratio.
