3rd Brake Light

The whole 3rd brake light lights up. looks way better than before!

it has all red. so i converted it to one led light strip.

nice, i want to do that to my moms ranger too it has the all red one, i have the bulb sockets, all i need is the bulbs but always forget to buy them
the led bar looks nice too, i have one on mine, but smaller, i need to buy another one so i can have the full length covered. also i wanna covert the 3rd light to led on mine, but it has cargo lights

ohh i put a 9 inch strip in mine. it was the perfect size and only 10 dollars. and if you get one the red strip is so much brighter than a white one shining thru the red lens. i think it looks much better than the original bulb look.

yeah ive been told that i must use red leds so it will shine better, and hell yeah the look is 10x better!! i bet it can be seen from far easily
i might try to convert to led my tail light one day

I had that setup back in the day....except mine had signals in the third.

yeah i was gonna do that. but i like this set up. or i was gonna get the ones with cargo lights and hook it up to the reverse lights.

i need to get one like that. i tried using just LED bulbs but i think the strip looks better

yeah it does look better and i found one for pretty cheap.

where did you find the strip and how hard was it to wire up?

its very easy to do. just cut out the shape of the led in the brake light. cut the wires from the connector to the bulb. splice the new ones on from the led. and seal it so the led doesnt move.
