I want to order some new tires for my truck but I was told 35x14.50 would not fit on my truck. I am not a mechanical genius so i am sure i will probably leave out a detail. Right now I am trying out a friend of mines 36x12.50x15 Super Swampers TSL which are awesome on the truck. Turning is more difficult but the truck handles it fine for being a completly stock 1986 Ford Ranger besides the lift and tires. I race it in mud bogs for fun.

Let me know if anyone has any suggestions. My husbands wants me to get wider tires for better times in the mud drags. I dont mind the 12.50 but I'd like to know another opinion.

I am running a 92 explorer with a sagged out 6 inch lift that only measures about 4 inches of lift and I am running 35 12.5 15s. With MINOR trimming and adjustment they will fit.

If it's a stock engine truck your gonna have a lot better luck pushing 35x10.50 Bogger's through the mud then 35x14.50's. Unless you have the power to rotate (and I mean 3rd gear rooster tails) wide tire's, stick to the skinnies. Lotsa mud bog guys stick with 38x11.50 tires because they can turn them efficiently.

Im running 36x12.5x15 SX's with a 3" long arm suspension, 2" body, and minor trimming with little to no rubbing up front, no bed in the rear for me though

oh ive had the suggestion to remove the bed of my truck. Not so sure i want to do that.

2.9 and 35x14's? yeesh!

What gearing do you have?
