Yah I was just wondering if putting 35's on my 1993 ranger would be a good idea or not. i have a 3.0L v6 and 4.56 gearing. Also I have a 4" rough country suspension lift. Depending on the answer to this question i would like to put a 3" body lift as well to clear these tires.

i think for 35's you will need the 3 inch body lift...i know a guy that has the 4 inch rough country and he has 33's on and they seem to take up all the room?...wait for some other replies.

If it's an automatic you could live with it. 4.88's would be better but not enough difference to justify the cost.

Do some fender trimming.
Better yet, swap in a beefier rear end first, the 7.5 is really only any good for wheeling with 33's on it. Anything bigger, you're lookin' to break stuff.

i dont know

i have a 3.0 v6 with 7"s in the front and 6" in the back, i used to just have a 3 inch body lift and i fit the 33"s but i wouldnt be able to get 35"s without the lift i have now, i havnt gotten 35"s yet cuz im not sure if i need to regear my truck, for now you might just wana go with 33"s

I'd rock the 35's, say screw the body lift and hack the fenders. If it rubs anywhere, use your special clearance tools on anything in the way.

4.56's should be fine.

I have a 4" suspension and a 3" BL on my 94 Explorer and have slight trimming on the front fenders with 35's. I do use it off road and haven't had any issues with the tires getting into anything I don't want them to. As far as gears go I run the 4:88's(remember I have a 4.0) and wished I would have waited for the 5:13's to come back into stock. They work, but the crawl would have been better.

Yeah the 3.0L needs 5.13 gears for 35" tires. This is a noticeable jump from 4.56, and well worth it.

Thanks guys, im not sure wat im gonna do yet. im waitin on some cash. Id love to slap a set of 35's under there but i have to wait for my 33's to wear down lol. cant afford both.

i had 35's on a 95 with a 4in RC lift and did fine and i had 3.23 gears! stupid yes but no breakage!
