With a 5.+ regear will the 3.0L OHV handle 35" tires without a great loss in power? I use the truck as a dd so I need to have the engine perform at freeway speeds.

A gear swap will be needed. Otherwise you will lack power. This goes with any engine. 4.10's will be ok....but I reccomend 4.56's or lower if you offroad and like power.

if your going to run 35" tiers with semi stock/stock suspension i would look out for warn ball joints and wheel bearing plus yes you will need to regear you rear end i would say 4.10 or 4.56 are good for 33" and 4.88 to 5.13 would be good for 35"

Thanks for the comments. My intent is to run Deavers in the back and a Dixon Bros long travel kit up front. In the mean time, I am looking to run larger tires and get slightly better clearance without having to mess up the front drive shaft and cv's/half shafts by changing the operating angles (as would happen if I were to install a suspension lift).

4.10's are way to shallow for 35's on a 3.0. 4.56's at least...5.13's if your at all serious about offroading.
