So I plan on doing a 3" Body lift to mount 33" tires soon, after that I plan on getting 2.25" Torsion Bar keys and different leafs for the back. My question is with 5.25" of lift is it possible to mount 35" tires or would I have to do some fender cutting as well

You should have plenty of room without cutting.

body lift is a bad idea. even if it never sees the brown of dirt it'll obviously raise your center of gravity without widening the stance to stable it back out. sure it'll work and yes it's common but that doesn't make it smart. it's essentially a gateway mod to bigger and better things haha it's worth the worry to save a little more and do it all right

I dont know where you heard that but any lift will raise the center of gravity, and very few widen the stance. The few that do on these trucks cost 3k+ so a $200 body lift is a very cheap way to clear bigger tires.

well if thats the case then any lift raises the center of gravity so they arent smart or safe so we should all lower out trucks and make them super wide.

but to the OP you should be able to fit 35s and it would probably have next to no chance of rubbing if you get aftermarket wheels

lol.
body lifts are 100% fine.

and dont get keys. just crank the bars. same thing, and free.

theres a few trucks running around on cranked bars and body lift with 35's.

google em. looks pretty awesome.

definately need to regear for 35's though. 4.56's at minimum.

Jeez you guys are sensitive. if you portion the stance to the lift you're fine and yes most "lifts" raise the center of gravity, whether they work or not is another story. I'm one who prefers function over fashion.

And a Superlift on a torsion bar ranger provides absolutely no more function than a body lift. Unless you do a coil over swap.

Because those torsion bars will hang just as low as stock. So any gained frame clearance is useless thanks to the torsion bars hanging low as phuck.

Why spend $1800+ when you can spend $200 and get the same results.

The dudes from cali and is building a 2wd truck your not going convince him on a body lift chances are even being northern cali hes building a go fast offroad rig. Im not a fan of bodylifts fiberglass fenders and bedsides are a little more expensive but a better option in my eyes and basicly allow you to run a tire big enough to almost rub your firewall with zero lift.

Who said anything about a 2WD?? OP has a FX4-LII.

I completely agree with this.

My mistake, my fat fingers make it hard to keep the screen steady on tablets. Still not a huge fan but its the best option on the cheap

If I crank my torsion bar is it going to have an adverse effects, I.E am I more likely to break something than just buying new torsion bar keys. Also anyone know how to lift the back to match the 2.25 in torsion key, right now all I can figure is using a 1.5 in block and adding a leaf that will give an additional 0.75 in of lift

Torsion keys just clock the hex that the bar sits in to a different position instead of just turning in the bolt that positions thd key a bit farther in. Both have the same effect on your suspension, no reason to spend the money, as far as the rear goes I've read that the 2" chevy drop shackles will lift the back of a Ranger around 2".

Last thing, any recommendation as to the best drop shackle. I am still new to being mechanically savy, and i am also a full time student so i need my truck to last till i get new truck out of college.

The BellTech 6400 shackles are popular.
