I'm modifying my 35 beams to fit 44 knuckles using the BJ's from the 44. This is for a daily driven commuter that sometimes see's high speed 4x4 usage on the highway in the winter.
What's the best way to handle connecting the steering? cheapest? Can I simply run it like a stock 44 with the tie rod end under? Will the mount to the adjustment sleeve?
Is shaving the underside of the upper balljoint mounting area on the beam the best way to get this to fit together? Does this achieve the best alignment for the axle shaft? I'll be running hubs locked a lot in the winter at highway speeds and want a nice alignment. Or does it really matter?
Do the upper BJ alignment cams from the 44 fit right in where the 35's were? If the donor and my project rig are both stock and they do fit, do I just use the donors alignment cams? Or do I need to go ahead and just purchase some new adjustable alignment bushings?
