33x12.5 or 31X10.5

hey guys im looking for some opinions on weather to get 33x12.5. i have 31x10.5 on my truck now but i have an extra set of rims and am thinking of going bigger. it just looked better. i have a 3.0 automatic with 4.10 gears and a 4 inch lift. i had 33x12.5 tires on it a few months ago and it ran fine but one night when i was on vacation some ass stole the rims and tires off my truck and dropped it on the ground would it put too much strain on my power steering pump and bearings? what do you guys think?
