33's or 35's on stock b2 7.5 and d28

the TTB d35 is stronger than a Jeep d30, and it bolts right in.

To do a solid front axle requires custom work done. If your gonna go through the trouble you should get a d44 or something. You can't just buy a jeep lift and slap it under your B2.

33s are going to brake shit on the d28 (Hell plenty of people brake shit with 31s) nevermind 35s. Dont forget you'll need new gears with tires that big.
It ain't a party till somethin get broke !!! :icon_thumby:

Yeah, I prefer to avoid trail-side axle changes... Thats a bitch of a job at home with the TTB front ends if you havn't done a c-clip elimination first. Having to do it on the trail would make me wanna cry.

I couldn't make the stock axles last with 30" tires trying to hunt out my B2...

I ran a 4.0, 7.5" with 4.56 and a locker and 35's for years without ever breaking a shaft, maybe I got lucky?

I did however break many a thing on a D28 with just 31's... My D35 with 4.56 and locker has stood up to 35's just fine though.

the 7.5" is a decent enough axle. its not strong, by any stretch, but its not a weak piece of trash like the d28 is either.

Also doesn't have the huge hassle of swapping axle shafts that the TTB axles do, because you can just pull the cover off a rear axle.

I still wouldn't spend the money on gears or a locker for the 7.5 though. Might as well spend that money on an Expo 8.8 and start from there.

33's

Have 33" Baja Claws on my 2.9, auto 88 ranger, factory lift and trimmed fenders for 6 or 7 years, great tires.
Broke a manual hub one winter while climbing a snow covered hill but I was towing my expedition trailer at the time.
Other than that, no problems.:icon_thumby:

My local 4-wheel shop says 33's are the biggest I can go for my truck.
