I have had good luck with discount tire.
paid ~600 for 4 Falken 31's for my Ranger last year.

Have you checked Craigslist? I wouldnt buy new tires ever again if I could avoid it. A good set of 31's should be running 100-200 bux on craigslist. And if you have to drive a little to pick them up the savings will be more than worth is. I run plainsmen 31x10.50's I found with 55% for 60 bux.
