302 with 351 Windsor heads ?

is that what it was? I remember it being something like that.

Something like that, but there were other differences. For one thing the Boss engine didn't take the compression hit.

Yeah, they just killed it rather than let it suffer on without dignity. :icon_twisted:

The real Cleveland that is, they marketed the 351M as a Cleveland for awhile after the C was put down... that had to be a letdown.

The motor is from a 95 f150 and the only reason I ask about the 351w heads is because a friend of mine said he had some he would give me to put on ... The heads I have are in really good shape and it's a roller motor ... Well it has the roller rockers and hydraulic lifters ( idk if it has the roller cam) most likely not but I only thought about it because I'm having a hard time finding a stock intake ( upper and lower ) and idk what intakes I can use because I just see a lot of people posting that there intake will only work for motors up to 93 and all sorts o different years I was under the assumption that a 302 efi intake would fit?

the 351w heads on a 302 was what made the "BOSS 302" right? as I recall a special intake manifold was needed too. a 302 manifold won't work, and a 351w manifold won't work either. this complicates intake manifold choices.

there was quite a bit to the boss block itself as well. screw in freeze plugs are a dead givaway but its not a normal block in any case.

get a picture of the front of the passenger side head kinda close if you can.

likely its a normal truck head.

not sure what efi setup your intending to run but the explorer intake and heads liked mentioned are good pieces to start with.

Ok I took a picture of it it has the numbers 23 and then a one inch gap 0 and then another gap and 06 this photo won't load and idk why and right next to the valve cover there's a T

They are most likely E7TE's. Those pics you posted don't tell much. Have any pics under the valve covers?

Those are E7TE's. Really a decent head overall. IMO, your biggest restriction is going to be the cam. You can put better heads on it, but then you're bottle necking with the F150 cam.

I guess the question needs to be asked. What is your goal for HP numbers?

I am not that up on 351W heads but the T in the corner means it is an E7TE cylinder head in 302 land.

IIRC the E7 351W heads are the same as the E7 302 heads aside from the bolt holes are bigger. E7 302 heads can be had really cheap.

So are the f150 e7 heads the same as mustang e7 heads, only real difference is the cam? If so that opens up my ability to find some e7 heads.

If your wanting too go carb I say find yourself a good intake like the edelbrock 289 performer or one similar to it.
