302 ranger

As a lot of you know I have been trying to decide weather to run a 302 or a 2.3 turbo. Well she is getting a v8. I have everything in and running with tranny and driveshafts, all msd ignition chromed out with blue valvle covers and block. I made a home made adapter to put a tk 5 speed behind it but I know it wont hold for long. I was wondering what every one is running for trannies with a 5.0. Also swapping the 80s front clip on and painting it orange. Got all the exhaust done today with chrome tips and expensive mufflers that are coming out cause I cant hear the motor. Any help would be nice. Only had a week to build so not everything is done the way I want it but it runs smooth. I will post pics tomorrow.

i'm still working on my project...

I have a 99 Ranger 3.0V6 thats getting a Carb'ed 302.
I have a C6 Tranny and NP205 T-case for it.

I'm also making it all old school... less computer crap to deal with.

I really want to run a 5 speed. I have a 4 speed for a 302 but I'm not sure on how to make the full-size tcase to work. My funds are low so I may leave it tilling find one for a gooddeal

The manual out of a F150 is about the only option if you want the five speed. Forget which year is the best fit for shifter location.

its a really tough decision keep it manual in my opinion and i just went with a 2wd tranny the mazda fullsize tranny. so i dont really know about the 4wd
