302 question...??????

i have a 93 off road ranger.. has 4.0 in it. would like to put carburted 302 in ranger.. need a lil help in what one to use??? does it matter if i get it out of a old 1977 ford ranger.. or can i use one out of a mark vi??? and what tranny would work???? hope u guys could help me thanks

There are many answers to your question. Yes they have same bolt patterns 77 ranger to vi. I used a ford create motor and a T5.
