Ok so Im trying to incorporate using my p/s accesory off my v6 ranger and put it to use on the 79' t-bird 302.. got a few mounts that are there on the driver side of the engine but dunno if there the right ones to make this thing work on the belt loop..

Anyone got a pic of the bracket I need to properly set up with the stock ranger p/s?

Heres a pic of what I got.
Pretty sure top right bracket is a/c and one lower to it is the p/s but is that the right one?

If you have time to look, check the block's casting numbers above the starter.

YES . thats the one

That is indeed the right one. If you need a ps pump for that setup, I have one in the shop that I didn't need (I have manual steering). I see you're in Ontario. What part?

Ya I have my p/s from my 3.0L and in the v8 conversion thread it says it can be used with the correct brackets.. so this would be the right one to hook up the ranger p/s with correct?

And im in Southern Ontario, Bout hour east of Toronto, 20 min east of Oshawa.. good ol' village of Newcastle, haha if you have any idea where this little hick town is.

And engine is at buds shop, so next time im there ill check the casting numbers.. im hoping its the bigger ford block DV8E or something along those lines..

Thanks for the help guys :)

I know exactly where Newcastle is. We head up 35/115 quite a bit to visit family.

You're going to have to change the pulley on your ps pump to match the drive on the 302. Hopefully it will still line up.

Use a stock Mustang P/S bracket or get a billet one like a UPR piece. Almost all of the older Ford power steering pumps (the ones with the plastic reservior) are the same. Pulley sizes are different and the valve inside the pressure (big) lines are different. Also check out cfrperformance.com. They have the billet P/S and alternator brackets cheap.

Here is what the complete original factory brackets look like on my '78 302, looks like you have one bracket but are missing a couple parts. The pump looks like a generic Ford PS pump, dunno if it is the same as regular RVB pump or not.

Here's a stock Mustang 5.0 bracket. It is used with the "AC delete" brackets (google search) or the giant AC/PS bracket.

I used my Ranger pump.
